Indiana is a state that has struggled to keep up with the demand for real estate.
Indiana’s population of 1.2 million is roughly half of the state’s population, making it one of the largest states for housing vacancies.
In December, it added 782 housing units, the second-highest rate in the nation.
In March, it opened the state to all home buyers, a move that came amid widespread concern that the housing market would crash if Congress didn’t act on the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The housing market is now reeling from a new round of uncertainty that could force some to consider moving back to their home states.
In addition to Indiana, other states are also facing problems as well.
California and Florida are among the states where home sales are up, and they’re not the only ones struggling.
Other states like Texas, Tennessee, and Michigan have also seen house prices soar.
For those of you in states that are not seeing the housing boom that you’re seeing in Indiana, let us give you some perspective.
